Phan Elle is a 36 year old human resources manager for an establishment that specializes in top secret government affairs.
Despite having the kind of job that most would consider worthy of being deemed as impressive due to the field
that it’s in, Phan see’s it as nothing short of unimpressive and as a burden to her existence.
So, most of the time, she doesn’t really take her job that seriously.
”Anyone could do my job. A monkey could do my job. Humans are simple minded. Human resources? What a joke.”
She is known by her coworkers as rather anti-social and distant.
Phan makes it a habit to never socialize much with her peers, and tends to cut conversations short if she has to
converse with others in any way. She is also often criticized by her coworkers due to her strange and off-putting
personality and behaviors. However, Phan tends to ignore their relentless judgement and backhanded comments
because in her mind, everyone else around her is beneath her and too unintelligent for her to truly care.
Phan struggles with a sense of superiority.
She is secretive, and reclusive, often hiding in her office during all hours of the day while hardly ever attending social
gatherings or meetups that her coworkers partake in.
And while this mostly due to her lack of interest in those around her, she has far more sinister secrets lying beneath the surface
of the façade she parades around for those she is forced to socialize with each and every day.
Unbeknownst to everyone she knows, Phan leads a secret double life as an unrevealed serial killer in her town.
Her killing spree began at the age of 32 after she was nearly assaulted by a former coworker that she worked under upon her first
few months of being hired at her job. After her first experience ending the life of someone who tried to harm her, and getting
away with what she’d done, she felt a sense of power she’d never once felt in her life.
Since then, she has been responsible for the deaths of 12 different
people. All of which she felt were deserving in one way or another.
And her desire to continue taking the lives of others has grown insatiable.
Leading up to this point, Phans existence had always been somewhat of a struggle. She’d never really found her place in life, often feeling
lost and without purpose. Ever since she was a child, every stage of her life had been met with loneliness and the inability
to really find community or belonging. This reality was rather difficult for her to bear, especially considering Phan had
also been subjected to varying forms of abuse by her own family and the few romantic relationships she found herself in, earlier on
in her adult life. Said relationships and shaky family relations had left her feeling disconnected from the rest of the world around her.
She began to form the idea in her mind that all human beings were nothing but undeserving, self serving animals
that were not to be trusted under any circumstance.
And because of this, in her mind, her habit of “playing God” and ending the lives of those that she sees fit to do so
is “justified”.
Dreams
”Every now and again, I have this dream. I’m in a large empty space, sitting in a bath tub. A large white tub.
I’m clothed. I’m soaking in dirty water. I’m staring into nothingness, and the water begins to rise.
And despite the fact that it’s overflowing and pouring out of the tub, I begin to feel trapped.
Almost as if I feel like I’m going to drown, even though my head is no where close to the water.
And then? I feel the hands of others pushing me inside.
And I don’t know how to escape.”
Phan is known to have many strange dreams that she keeps track of in a journal, which is kept in her apartment.
Most of the time, her dreams become lucid, allowing her to explore these strange places that her
mind has concocted for her. Sometimes, these places resemble surroundings from her every day life.
Other times, they are places she’s never seen before, that fall into the realms of absurdity and surrealism.
And often times, dreams will repeat, bringing her back again and again, as though she’s meant to find something there.
Every now and again, Phan has recorded running into past victims in said dreams, though they don’t tend to
resemble themselves as they were before they were murdered.
They tend to look more disfigured, or “taken apart” as she puts it.
Despite this, they are able to communicate with her, though they don’t seem to realize just who she is,
or the fact that they were ever alive at all.
Another specific recurring dream Phan has is one she calls “the red room nightmare”.
A dream that takes place in a large, empty red space where no one else can be found.
Nothing can be seen but red. No sound. No one. Nothing.
Phan is completely trapped in a silent red space with no company, and no stimulation, for what feels like an eternity.
And before this dream ends, she often hears the sound of a beating heart growing louder and louder
before she finally wakes up.
These are the dreams she hates the most, because when she experiences them, Phan believes that
someone is watching her. However, she’s yet to ever see anyone else in the room with her when she experiences this dream.
In her mind, Phan truly believes that she has a deep connection to the universe due to just how vivid and
lively her dreams are, and that she has the ability to communicate with forces beyond comprehension that most humans cannot.
Whether or not this is true, isn’t certain.
Extra facts and information:
1. Phan is often called “flan” as a joke by her coworkers due to her name sounding similar to the dessert, and due
to the fact that she’s often seen eating it.
2. She seems to have a strong love of apple juice, often keeping little cartons of it on her person at all times. Phan especially
loves to partake in a carton of apple juice after she has committed murder.
3. Despite her obvious sense of superiority to others, Phan is also deeply insecure. She struggles with said insecurities in
solitude quite frequently and often doubts herself despite coming off the opposite.
4. Phan has a love of cute little mascot characters and collects little decorative figures which
she litters her work space with.
5. She has a deep infatuation with a specific coworker (Harshal [created by KING_LIMINAXE] ) and has a bad habit
of stalking her as well.
6. Phan often struggles with derealization and most times, is unsure of whether or not she really exists,
whether reality itself exists, and whether or not everything around her is a simulation.
7. She fears deep water, and every now and again, has dreams of being trapped in an endless sea with no help in sight.
She also has recurring dreams in which she’s seated in a tub full of rising filthy water that makes her feel trapped.
However, this dream still does not frighten her nearly as much as the recurring red room nightmare.
